  1. Load & prepare. Crop, straighten, remove the background and refine the cutout.
  2. Choose the mode. Use 3D portrait relief for shaped depth or flat grayscale photo for a planar image.
  3. Approve & generate. Review and approve the cutout, then generate depth using installed local models.
  4. Refine & personalize. Adjust face tones, depth and contrast. Add styled text in relief mode if required.
  5. Inspect & export. Reprocess pending changes. Inspect the Photo OBJ texture, dimensions and orientation.
  6. Verify in laser software. Check scale, placement, texture and the generated point preview before a physical test.

The file matters.

Photo OBJ + MTL + PNG

The surface carries your tuned grayscale photo. Keep all three matching files together. For the documented ComMarker workflow, use “Texture Image” and check that the photograph loaded. ComMarker creates its own engraving points.

STL / GLB

Shape-only geometry in the current exporter. These exports do not carry the tuned grayscale photo.

PLY / XYZ / DXF

Generated point positions for compatible receiving software. Confirm the expected point-entity support, units and axes before use. A file extension alone does not guarantee compatibility with a particular laser.

Grayscale PNG

The prepared grayscale photograph for compatible image workflows. A PNG does not contain 3D geometry.

Windows is the current customer platform.

Apple Silicon and Intel Mac builds are previews awaiting native validation. Sculpfun V5 support depends on the receiving software and a verified import workflow; it is not certified by this website.

Know where the image goes.

Core photo editing, installed AI models, project saving and export run on your PC. Optional online editing sends the selected cutout and prompt to OpenAI when you click Send. Generation sends the prompt without your current photo.

The app keeps the API key in the AI Photo Studio window and clears it when that window closes. Check connection performs a model-access check without a photo or an image-generation request. It cannot confirm available image-generation credit.

This software showcase does not collect API keys or accept photo uploads. Purchases and contact requests use the store’s existing systems and policies.

Make a test repeatable.

Keep the project, matching export files, app version, laser-software version and test settings together. Compare the exact texture with the receiving software’s point preview before changing another variable.
